'Miss Antenna', that name came about years ago when I always photographed antennas when traveling. In the Netherlands, where I live, you rarely see antennas on the roofs of houses. Antennas became a testament to my journey.
In addition, I liked to experiment a bit anonymously first; find out what my own style is. And now it is time to introduce myself properly. My name is Titia Huisman. Nice to meet you!
I am originally a designer. A while ago ;-) I have completed my study to become a teacher in drawing and graphic design. I now use the skills I gained there and in my further career as a designer (graphics, designs and product design).
For my current job I have been photographing for many years. I am a trend watcher in the field of interior and decoration. I travel a lot to clients to advise in the manufacture of new products and collections. And I visit trade fairs here in the Netherlands and abroad, to report on everything that is new and special that I come across. These findings (including photos) find a place in the trend book THJS Cover, which I have been making for many years (with Joke Scholtalbers).
The pandemic has turned everything upside down in the past year. Instead of the journeys I could make, I now grab my camera and put on my hiking shoes to discover the beautiful nature close to home: The sun rises for free, a flower blooms for free, a bird sings its song for free.
My photo archive is growing enormously. In addition to many experimental images, every now I discover a beautiful capture (if I do say so myself... ;-)) And I 'must' do something with that...
So: Welcome!
